St. Francis de Sales School for the Deaf in Brooklyn seeks a Full Time (10- Month) Occupational Therapist. This position is responsible to develop and provide occupational therapy programs for assigned students using various service delivery models.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Plan and integrate IEP goals into lessons. Develop and implement intervention strategies.
· Evaluate students using appropriate tests, skilled observation, and supplemental information received from other sources.
· Maintain records in compliance with regulatory and school policy.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
· New York State Certified Occupational Therapist.
· Applicant must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Applicant must have excellent organizational skills and pay meticulous attention to details.
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
· Minimum of Advanced SLPI Rating.

COMPENSATION
St. Francis offers a competitive salary commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience. The anticipated annual compensation range for the 10- month program is $54,000 to $108,000.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
St. Francis de Sales School for the Deaf (SFDS) is a nonpublic, New York State supported school for Deaf students from birth through 8th grade located in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. SFDS offers a Parent Infant Program (Ages 0-3), an Early Childhood Program (Ages 3-5) and a School Age Program (Grades K-8). Students attending SFDS are Deaf, DeafBlind, and Deaf Disabled.
SFDS utilizes best practices from current research in Deaf Education. We are a communicative, language and literacy rich environment.
